This season, the Marc Jacobs girl has a destination. Perhaps they're not going to Oz, but it seems like they're certainly going somewhere wondrous with their small purses and their large fur coats. “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” was a beautifully chosen theme on Marc’s part.
"And the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true" is how the tune goes, from the famous The Wizard of Oz. Marc's message of ambition, hopes, dreams, and promise is not only enlightening, but it is also realistic. In the current economic state, not everyone is thinking about glamour and frivolous expenses. Marc’s collection reflected the current times in a very authentic manner. His tailoring was understated, and everything was beautiful, and basic. Despite the economic climate, people still have incredible visions, desires, and wishes, and Marc truly touched on that with his collection.
