Milan: Dolce & Gabbana

For me, color is one of the most exciting concepts on the runway, and at first the Dolce and Gabbana a/w 2010 show seemed lacking of just that. But after the first few models walked out, I fell in love with the huge blazers and lace camisoles peeking underneath (interestingly I was reminded of the s/s 2010 Dior look especially in the add campaigns- http://www.thefashiontime.com/wp-content/themes/mimbo2.2/images/2010/01/dior.jpg)The all-black look is refreshing, classic, and simple. However, it was the gold beaded pieces that made the collection one of my favorites this season. A closer look on style.com showed that the "beading" isn't really beading at all- it's more like metallic, gold discs sewn onto the black bodices. The effect is stunning. What do you think of the Dolce and Gabbana show? Too much black or the perfect amount for this season?
